***Please note: At this time I have expanded availability for low-fee or pro bono clients who are in the Los Angeles area and have been affected by the devastating wildfires***
$200 / 50-minute individual session
$250 / 75-minute couples session (I can offer 75-minute individual sessions where it is appropriate)
I offer an income-sensitive sliding scale if you feel the full session fee is prohibiting you from working with me. My intention is to not turn anyone wanting to work with me away for lack of funds. In addition, I partner with and have a limited number of openings available through the Open Path Collective (please check the website to see if I am accepting new Open Path clients and send in inquiry there).***
Insurance
I do not participate as an in-network provider for any insurance companies as a matter of principle. However, YOU may have out-of-network benefits, which means that insurance will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost after you meet your calendar-year deductible. During our intake process, I can help you understand more about your out-of-network benefits and how to determine what your reimbursement would be. I am able to provide a “superbill” to submit, that will contain information about you, such as your diagnosis, if you wish to use out-of-network benefits. Please note: I can not guarantee that any diagnosis you have does not follow you wherever you may go in the insurance space (such as in applying for life insurance).
If you want to know your benefits before reaching out, I recommend asking your insurance provider the following questions (knowing that you could ask three different people at your insurance company and you’d likely get three different responses):
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits (procedure code is ‘90837’ for psychotherapy, modifier ’95’ for online therapy)?
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Payment
Credit card is the primary form of payment accepted in my practice. If you would like to discuss alternate forms of payment, please don’t hesitate to bring this up in our initial phone consult.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, it is required you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, I do have to charge the full rate of the session.
